The Everly Brothers Signed Gibson Acoustic Guitar.

Donald "Don" Everly and Phillip "Phil" Everly have signed this Gibson Acoustic Guitar in a silver sharpie.

The story of how this guitar got signed is as follows, per our consignor: “I had heard that the Everly Brothers didn’t get along, but I had no idea. They didn’t speak to each other at all, walking on stage from different dressing rooms, performing and leaving without any other interaction. I was ushered into each of their dressing rooms, spoke to each of them for a few minutes, and got my guitar signed. Each of them said negative comments to me about the other. It was really sad.”

Provenance: From the collection of a former Music Executive. Lots 76 to 100 and Lots 499 to 803 in this auction are consigned by one vendor, who worked with and met various artists from 1985-1992. All the items were personally obtained by the vendor. This is the best in-person collection we have ever handled as an auction company.

Good condition.

Authentication: Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
