The Police was an English rock band formed in London in 1977. Within a few months of their first gig, the band’s lineup settled as Gordon Sumner, a.k.a. “Sting” (lead vocals, bass guitar, primary songwriter), Andy Summers (guitar) and Stewart Copeland (drums, percussion), and remained that way for the rest of the band's history. They became globally popular in the late 1970s and early to mid ‘80s by playing a blended style of rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz.
This lot features a triple-signed black-and-white photo of the band’s three members in their early days, from left to right: Andy Summers, Sting and Stewart Copeland. All three have signed the photo with a fine-tip blue marker.
