The Rolling Stones “Beggars Banquet” Original Cover Art Slick

The Rolling Stones finished recording “Beggars Banquet” in July 1968, but the album met an unexpected delay when both Decca Records and London Records rejected the cover design which featured a graffiti-covered lavatory. The Stones held back the album, but the stand-off ended in November when the band gave in and allowed the album to be released with a less controversial cover.

(The original cover art was finally released with the 1984 CD remastering of the album.) This rare proof slick features that notorious piece of album art.

Good condition.

Dimensions: 31.5" x 18" in.
