U2 Band Signed Blue Fender Stratocaster.
U2 band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. have signed this beautiful blue fender Stratocaster in a gold paint pen. Bono has inscribed the guitar, “92, Yahoo”. The guitar was signed backstage during their Zoo TV concert tour in 1992. The consignor was able to meet the band, hang out with them, and then get them all to sign this incredible guitar.
U2 rarely signs, and they never sign guitars. This is one of the few fully signed guitars we have ever seen by the band, making this a true “holy grail” type item.
Provenance: From the collection of a former Music Executive. Lots 76 to 100 and Lots 499 to 803 in this auction are consigned by one vendor, who worked with and met various artists from 1985-1992. All the items were personally obtained by the vendor. This is the best in-person collection we have ever handled as an auction company.
