A "Meet The Beatles" original RIAA certified white matte gold record album award presented to The Beatles. This historic album was released in the U.S. on January 20, 1964 by Capitol Records (in mono and stereo!) - the U.S. sister company to the British company Parlophone which the Beatles were then signed to, both being subsidiaries to EMI. The album was recorded at EMI Studios in London from February to October 1963. The album hit number one in less than one month and remained there for an impressive 11 weeks before being replaced by "The Beatles' Second Album"; the first time that an artist replaced itself at the number one album position. Measures 17.5 x 22. With nicks and scrapes to the original wood frame and tears in the backing paper. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
