Steve McQueen "The Great Escape" Film Worn Top, Pants and Air Force Bars

From one of the all-time classic movies of our time, "The Great Escape", this is Steve McQueen's screen worn sweatshirt top, pants and air force bars, worn during the motorcycle chase scene. McQueen runs his bike into the barb wire, sliding into mud, cutting himself and in the process tears some of his clothing. When the Germans approach him with gun, McQueen turns the  top of his shirt over to display his Captain's Air Force bars to show them he is a American officer. The bar are affixed underneath the collar area, and pictured here. The pants and top are both labeled Western Costume Company, with McQueen's name printed on both labels, and stamped as well. Very good screen worn condition. Accompanied by photographs from the film and a letter of provenance. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
