Madonna World Music Award

A World Music Awards award presented to Madonna, the gilt metal figure holding aloft a globe, mounted on a black plinth engraved "Madonna World's Best-selling Pop Rock Artist of the Year, THE WORLD MUSIC AWARDS, Monte Carlo 2nd May 2001." 13.5 inches in height. The award, donated by Warner Music International to a charity auction, is accompanied by two documents concerning provenance. One of the accompanying letters, from Warner Music International, dated 15th November, 2004, states that "....this award presented to Madonna at the World Music Awards is genuine and real, and was kept by Warner Music International as a piece of memorabilia." Excellent condition, with a few nicks on the base. Estimate $17,000-$19,000.
